My story as a photographer starts in the early 2000s when I was a little girl. I’ve always been a very sentimental and nostalgic person, and after bugging my parents incessantly to remind me what my friends looked like or what specific places looked like while at the dinner table, it became clear that I have something called aphantasia. This basically means I can’t visualize memories as pictures in my mind the way others can. For me, photographs are more than just images… they’re windows into the emotions and stories I hold dear. I started carrying around a camera with me from the time I was young enough to count my age on my fingers, scared of not being able to look back at the faces and places I loved most. Over time, that instinct turned into something much deeper: a way of connecting with people, preserving feeling, and honoring the passing moments that make life beautiful. It’s this connection to the emotional essence of a moment that helps me create photos that resonate deeply, not just with the eye, but with the heart.
My unique perspective has shaped the way I see and capture the world. When I’m behind the camera, I’m most drawn to the feeling of a moment: the light that hits your skin, the laughter that fills the room, the quiet comfort of being surrounded by people who love you. I want your photos to be something you can feel years from now, even when the memories start to blur around the edges.
My clients tend to share that same love for authenticity. They value connection over perfection; people who care deeply about their relationships, who want their wedding day or session to feel alive, and who trust me to move with them rather than direct them. That said, I know most people haven’t spent much time in front of a professional camera, and that’s where I come in. I’ll gently guide you through natural prompts and movement so it never feels stiff or forced - you’ll know exactly what to do, but it’ll still feel easy and fun.
From the very beginning, I make sure your experience feels intentional and personal. I have lots of pre-shoot communication with every client - even for single sessions - to talk through your vision for the day, your comfort level with being photographed, and what kind of energy you want captured and preserved. I always arrive early to scout locations, study the light, and make sure everything feels seamless for my clients. My goal is for you to show up feeling completely at ease, knowing that every detail is already taken care of.
I approach every story with curiosity and care. Photography, to me, is a celebration of life as it is - and I am always so humbled and grateful to be trusted to document yours.
My goal is to create a safe space for my clients. You are welcomed and respected by me, regardless of your race, gender identity, sexual orientation, immigration status, or disabilities. If you are bothered by that statement, I am probably not the photographer for you.
